Freelance Editorial Specialist (Developmental Editing, Copyediting, or Proofreading)

We're always looking to add skilled freelance copyeditors, developmental editors, and proofreaders to our freelance talent pool to support a wide range of projects. 

Ideal candidates have:

• Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and style
• Experience editing educational content. (K-12 content experience preferred.)
• A sharp eye for clarity, consistency, and tone
• Ability to meet deadlines and follow project guidelines
• Ability to provide developmental editing, copyediting, or proofreading in a second language is a plus. We have a high demand for editors with experience in Arabic or Spanish.
• Please note: All qualified copyediting and proofreading candidates are required to complete a sample test to be considered.
• Freelance opportunities with Westchester are project-based and depend entirely on current project needs and availability. While we can’t guarantee ongoing work, we genuinely value your expertise and would love to have you as part of our freelance community.
